existing parking garage in Worcester,MA. The building also has a retail
restaurant space, fitness center, two passenger and one freight elevator.
Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design for a new, 49,000
sq. ft. Prime Acura car dealership. The building was zoned with multiple roof
top units and were provided with proper ventilation for service bays and drive

engineering for a 22,600 sq. ft. animal hospital. Provide power plans indicating
location of panels, receptacles, telephone/data locations with conduit access
only, and fire alarm
system devices and wire specification. Indicate wiring for all plumbing and
equipment. Provided lighting drawings indicating fixture types and controls.

Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection renovation to a 101,500 sq.
ft. abandoned and unoccupied six story mill building located in downtown
Portsmouth that consisted of former factory space. The building was converted
into 50+ residential apartments and some common areas for tenants to utilize.
CSI provided cooling and heating to each unit using a wall hung split system and
radiant flooring. The common areas were heated using radiant wall panels, and
unit heaters were used in the stairwells. The building was designed with a
combination of LED and Socket based lighting fixtures per the owners request,
general use power, fire alarm, door entry system, and power for mechanical and

upgrade of the 1870’s church heating system in the 4,000+/- sq. ft. building.
CSI surveyed and documented the existing conditions, worked closely with the
churches board and installing contractor, designed an upgraded heating system
incorporating an additional boiler, new controls, new steam and condensate
piping and the ability to monitor the churches tenant heating usage.
Complete HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design for three new
senior housing buildings, which include 26 units. The HVAC systems included the
use of high efficiency condensing boilers with fin tube radiation for heating
and individual room air conditioners for cooling. The outdoor air for each unit
was provided by central energy recovery units located in the attic space. CSI
worked closely with the developer to provide complete integrated and
energy efficient systems. We produced construction bid documents and
specifications. CSI also provided construction administration services to review
shop drawings and site visits to determine compliance to construction document.
Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing design for a 5,000 sq. ft. building being
converted into a brewery/restaurant. The system needed to be redesigned because
the old system became obsolete because of the change in occupancy. The new
systems are energy efficient and meet the energy code.
Mechanical due diligence survey and report that described and documented
existing conditions at Louisa May Alcott Memorial for the 7,800 sq. ft. historic
museum. The home was built between 1700-1710 and still looks the same as it did
when it was built; a two-story clapboard farmhouse.
CSI designedMechanical, Electrical and Plumbing drawings for a new 30,500 Sq.
Ft. animal shelter in Michigan. The shelter has a special rehabilitation area
for cats as well as a full service hospital. The facility also has a designated
evaluation and intake area.
Modifications and upgrades to the HVAC system with Electrical for the oldest
library in the US built in 1847. The existing 8,230 sq. ft. library had no
cooling and was burning fossil fuels to run their hot water heating system. CSI
left the old systemas a back-up and designed a variable refrigerant system for
both heating and cooling. The library has since seen a 30% reduction in energy
cost. The project was done in 2nd phases,
one phase for the existing building and the other for a small addition. CSI’s
original design was sized appropriately for the 2nd phase.
HVAC design for an existing 4,000 sq. ft. industrial space at 156 Epping Road in
Exeter, NH into a brew house, fermentation cellar and public tap room. The
design included heating and air-conditioning for the tasting room area as well
as ventilation for the brew house area.
CSI Engineering performed Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering
services for multiple energy conservation projects within the Portsmouth Naval
Shipyard in Kittery, ME.
Contract includes site visits and designs for over 60 ancillary and multi-use
buildings. Our scope includes the replacement of outdated refrigerant, R22, with
R-410A. CSI’s design focus was on energy efficiency to comply with State and
Federal mandates. The upgraded VRF system is now more energy efficient, as are
the new pumps associated with the hot water system.
Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering for a new 6 story 95,000 sq ft
Residence Inn hotel in Roxbury, MA. The hotel includes 135 extended-stay king
and queen studios with kitchens in each room. The design intent is to achieve
LEED Silver certification and will incorporate LED lighting throughout and high
efficiency heating and cooling systems.
Tufts Medical Center, 128
Slice Computed Tomography (CT) Scan Labs
Design and renovation of existing CT Scan Lab. The existing lab was up-graded to
the first of its kind 128 slice CT scan machine. The design included new process
chillers, pumps and modifications to the existing piping.
