Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing design for a 5,000 sq. ft. building being converted into a brewery/restaurant. The system needed to be redesigned because the old system became obsolete because of the change in occupancy. The new systems are energy efficient and meet the energy code.
Lamplighter Brewing Company is a popular brewing company known for creating unique beers and memorable experiences. Their production specializes in producing New England IPAs, Brett IPAs, and barrel-aged sours. This brewery distributes its product through a wide distribution network encompassing most of Western Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Main, and the state of New York.
Lamplighter has multiple locations, with the original location — the Broadway location — opening in 2016. CSI Engineering provided its design expertise for the renovations on this original location.
The Lamplighter Brewing team knew this location’s infrastructure required a comprehensive approach, in order to achieve their high standards for production quality and guest experience. Lamplighter partnered with CSI Engineering for it’s expertise and experience with breweries.
For this project, CSI Engineering employed a full systems design, catering to critical areas of this 5,000 square foot building’s infrastructure and core systems.
Specifically, CSI Engineering provided expertise and design work on the building’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
The Boston Society of Architects (BSA) presented CSI Engineering with the 2018 BSA Design Award for the work done on this project. This award is only given to firms whose projects in the Massachusetts area exemplify innovation and excellence in design. This award is highly prestigious, with only a small number of firms being recipients each year.
